The grill is not just for meat and vegetables! Grilled fruit kebabs are easy to make, caramelize beautifully and taste delicious drizzled with aged balsamic vinegar and a sprinkle of kosher salt.
Grilling draws out the sweet flavor of the fruit and the balsamic vinegar adds tang. Add other fruits like pineapple, plums and bananas. Grilled fruit is also delicious sprinkled with fresh basil or mint.
Grilled Fruit Kabobs
- 2 peaches, cut into 1-inch wedges
- 8 strawberries
- 1 cup watermelon, cut into 1-inch chunks
- Aged balsamic vinegar
- Kosher salt
Preheat the grill to medium heat.
Thread the fruit alternately onto metal or wooden skewers. Grill the fruit until it has caramelized, about six minutes turning several times. Sprinkle each skewer with kosher salt and drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
