There’s nothing better on game day than dipping hot spicy chicken wings into a creamy cool cilantro buttermilk ranch dipping sauce.
My cilantro buttermilk ranch dip pairs beautifully with hot buffalo chicken wings and serves double duty alongside a fresh veggie platter.
We are all football fans in my family and we are always looking for fast and easy ways to entertain our friends when we tailgate down on campus or watch the game at home on the big screen.
It’s all about convenience for me. I don’t have all day to be deep frying chicken wings. But they are best cooked fresh and piping hot.
Where to buy wings that are hot and delicious
So why not save yourself some time and pick up enough chicken wings at Walmart’s Hot Deli to serve your crowd.
Walmart has a great deal being offered right now! For $10 you can pick up 20 bone-in or boneless wings in a variety of different flavors including buffalo, hot, honey barbecue, ranch and general Tso’s.
We like our wings hot. I always serve hot wings with my cilantro buttermilk ranch dipping sauce. It helps cool things off if needed.
I’m growing my own cilantro in the garden right now. Anytime I can add fresh herbs to my recipes I do. I created this creamy, homemade cilantro ranch dip to go along with a platter of freshly cut carrots, celery, peppers and tomatoes.
Fresh cilantro adds a punch to this dip that you just can’t get from the store bought bottled variety. My dip is easy to make in about 5 minutes. It’s creamy and delicious and goes great with wings. I always make enough to drizzle on salads the rest of the week. Try it… You’ll never buy bottled again!

Those wings from Walmart are so stinkin good and your dipping sauce sounds amazing! I’ll have to try it for my next football party! [client]
I’m a big proponent of making my own sauces and dressings — in fact, I’ve NEVER purchased a bottled dressing. Your cilantro ranch dressing sounds terrific — and we’re all about spicy wings!
Thanks Lisa. Homemade is so much better for you too. I love this dip/dressing on wings and salads.
Wings are so hard to find in the UK. This is really making me crave some!
That would be a big bummer. Do they not have Walmart in the UK?
I love the twist of adding cilantro to ranch dressing. Great condiment idea for many dishes, starting with wings. Thanks!
Thanks so much. I agree with you that cilantro just ups the game. So tasty.
Looks so creamy and yummy! My husband LOVES Hot Wings, so I am going to treat him with this dipping sauce as well. 🙂
Sounds like our husbands are like. Of course what man doesn’t like hot wings. Thanks for visiting.
Ok now I’m gonna be craving these all week! I get weak in the knees for a little ranch – adding cilantro weakens my heart too!
These Walmart wings were really just delicious. I really enjoyed dipping them in the cilantro ranch sauce. Yum
We’re LOVING this recipe. So nice to see a lightened up version of ranch that the whole family will love.
Thank you so much. I think it’s the cilantro that gives it so much flavor. I hope you like it.
I’’ve made a few ranch dressings in my life, but this one tastes so fresh, with the cilantro addition. To use this for salads, I added a few capers & chili flakes, and doubled the garlic & lime. Thanks for this yummy dipping sauce.
