Enjoy this Key lime yogurt recipe with granola and fresh fruit for a quick breakfast or healthy dessert option when you’re craving something sweet.
I love Key lime pie – a slice of the summer dessert topped with whipped cream. Who doesn’t?
It’s rich and creamy, but it’s also full of sugar and fat.
I’ve been watching what I eat and choosing healthier alternatives that are just as delicious.
That’s where this no-bake recipe comes into play.
It perfectly satisfies that sweet tooth.
Are Key lime parfaits healthy?
These Key lime yogurt parfaits are low fat and high in protein.
These parfaits have no condensed milk, no added sugar and no cream cheese. To make these healthy, I used Key lime flavored Greek yogurt.
Key lime flavored plain yogurt is also an option.
I was pleasantly surprised how much this sweet treat tasted like a traditional key lime pie recipe.
The key lime flavor is sweet, tart and creamy. It’s tastes just like Key lime pie is supposed to, only healthier.
There are many yogurt brands and varieties to choose from. Just head to one of your local grocery stores.
I selected one low in sugar with a creamy texture. Thicker yogurts would also work in this recipe.
Simple ingredients to make this excellent recipe
Yogurt. Select a yogurt with a creamy lime filling.
Fresh Key limes. Key limes are smaller than regular limes and available in the produce section. Otherwise grab regular limes.
Whipped cream. Cool whip is also an option if you prefer it already prepared.
Granola. Grab your favorite brand or make it homemade.
Graham crackers. Grab a box of honey flavored crackers to create that graham cracker crust-like flavor.
Berries. Top the parfaits with your favorite berries and a slice of lime.
How to make Key lime yogurt parfaits with granola
First I added lime zest and a splash of key lime juice to the yogurt.
Next, I crumpled honey flavored graham crackers and mixed it in to my homemade granola.
Then, I created layers of the yogurt and granola graham cracker mix to create each parfait.
Finally, I topped each glass with a dollop of low sugar whipped cream and fresh berries.
The graham crackers added the sweetness I needed to make this taste like traditional Key lime pie.
My homemade granola recipe is quite versatile and easy to adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
These fruit and yogurt layered parfaits tasted like mini Key lime pies or tarts only healthier.
These individual parfaits are perfect for summer get-togethers, and any leftovers can be saved for breakfast the next morning.
Serve them in individual trifle bowls or mason jars.

Do Key limes taste like regular limes?
Key limes are also known as Mexican or West Indian limes and smell tart and floral.
They are a little bit smaller than the larger sizes of Persian limes and are slightly yellow in color and contain more seeds.
They are well worth the extra work of juicing for the amazing flavor.
