Guinness Beer Bread
Classic Guinness Beer Bread requires nothing more than a bottle of beer, a few simple pantry ingredients and a loaf pan.

- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 12-ounce bottle Guinness Beer
- Cooking spray
- 1 tablespoon oats
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray the inside of a loaf pan with plenty of cooking spray.Using a mixer, blend together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
Slowly pour the beer into the dry ingredients mixing slowly. Mixing only takes a minute. Do not over mix. Add the dough to the loaf pan and sprinkle the top with the remaining tablespoon of oats.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the bread is done. When a toothpick inserted into the bread comes out clean, the bread is done. Set the bread on a rack and allow to cool to room temperature.
