Sliders with Bacon, Brie & Fig Jam
Lamb Sliders topped with the salty taste of bacon, creamy brie cheese and sweet fig jam make for a delicious burger that is gourmet and restaurant-worthy.
- 1 pound ground lamb
- Kosher salt and pepper
- 1 wedge of soft brie cheese, sliced
- 1 jar fig jam or spread
- 6 slices of bacon, fried
- 6 slider or dinner sized rolls, toasted
Shape the ground meat into slider-sized patties. Season with salt and pepper.
Toast the rolls and spread a sufficient amount of fig jam on the tops and bottoms.
Cook the patties in an electric skillet, frying pan or on the grill until the meat reaches an internal temperature of at least 160°F. Flip the burgers just once or about 2 minutes per side for rare, 3 for medium-rare, 4 for medium, and 5 for well-done.
Add the cheese to the tops of the patties and continue cooking for another minute or until the cheese has melted slightly. You may need to cover your pan if you're cooking indoors.
Top each toasted bun with the cooked slider and finish each with bacon.
