3cupsflour
1/2cupoats
1/2cupdark brown sugar
4teaspoonsbaking powder
1/2teaspoonsalt
112-ounce bottleGuinness Beer
Cooking spray
1tablespoonoats
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray the inside of a loaf pan with plenty of cooking spray.Using a mixer, blend together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
Slowly pour the beer into the dry ingredients mixing slowly. Mixing only takes a minute. Do not over mix. Add the dough to the loaf pan and sprinkle the top with the remaining tablespoon of oats.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the bread is done. When a toothpick inserted into the bread comes out clean, the bread is done. Set the bread on a rack and allow to cool to room temperature.
